Anyone else a fan of these fantasy books by George R. R. Martin, low-magic setting ripe with politics and intrigue? One of my favorite series by far. I've read through the SOIAF RP handbook published…Continue

About Me
Hey there, my name is Kyle. I am a 21 year old student who also works in the restaurant industry. I've had poor luck finding good tabletop gaming in Las Vegas, and I'm looking to change that. I started role playing back in middle school, and though I've played and run a handful of games on actual tabletop (D&D 3.5 and Cthulhu), the majority of my experience is from online roleplaying, either via forums or chat programs. I dig me some storytelling, man.
Favorite Games
Poison'd, Song of Ice and Fire RP, 3:16, Mouse Guard, Call/Trail of Cthulhu, Agon, Dogs in the Vineyard, Lady Blackbird, Godlike, misc. Indie Games.

Interested in maybe trying Pathfinder (D&D? Eberron?), Savage Worlds, Spirit of the Century, Mutants & Masterminds, or World of Darkness, or something else post-apoc. Definitely willing to try new games too.

I'm also a fan of card/board games like Settlers of Catan, Bang!, Pandemic, Diplomacy, Risk, A Game of Thrones (board game and LCG), Arkham Horror, etc. Interested in trying out some new games too!

I'd rather see an RPG based on the movie Unbreakable. It would be cool to start with a 'normal' modern day character and gradually develop super powers for him as he experiences things that make his powers apparent to him.

So what is Inception about anyway? I can't make heads or tails out of the weird previews.

My girl moved some things around so she can come to Game Day with me. Any chance Poison'd can accommodate one extra player? If not, we'll just find another game, not too big a deal. And thanks for running something not-D20 at Game Day dude!

Greets! Looking at your game list, I'm very happy to see games like Dogs and 3:16! 3:16 is one of my favorites. I look forward to meeting you at Game Day.

Sounds cool! I'd be up for a game of Poision'd too. I'll give any game a try. That's one of the things I love about Vegas Gamers: it's not about only one game, you can play any game you want at these events.

Welcome to Vegas Gamers Kyle! You mentioned Mouse Guard. I've been intrigued by that game but have never had the chance to play it with anyone. If you'd like to run a game of Mouse Guard at an upcoming Vegas Game Day, I'd be quite interested in playing it with you.

The Ten-Minute Background

I was shown the Ten-Minute Background by a friend when discussing how to better flesh out characters in a long term campaign. I found the concept interesting, a great and simple way to get some plot lines revolving around the player's characters and their backstories. Ever since I read the post on the WotC forums, I've been itching to utilize this in a campaign setting.
